Last Day!

Cannot believe the last day of the season has arrived already! The Park looks rather lonely this morning with only one customer left packing up and all the empty caravans! Thank you to all our brilliant customers for a super year - already looking forward to next year and a sunnier season!!!! x

Autumn

Leaf 1

Great to see so many of our customers heading down to the Park for our last week. The Autumn colours around the Park look lovely in the afternoon sunshine but wrap up warm everyone because it is mighty chilly!

Protecting the Fish over Winter

Fish Refuges

Mark's busy making refuges which will be put in the lake for the fish to help protect them from cormorant attacks over the winter.  Cormorants regularly feed in stillwater and riverine sites in many parts of the country.  Unfortunately the numbers of cormorants feeding inland has risen to such an extent they have the potential to dessimate fish populations.  Installing fish refuges in lakes is aimed at protecting the fish from such predators.  Fingers crossed the refuges will hopefully give the fish some protection from any cormorants feeding on the lake over the winter period.  It is our plan to remove the refuges from the lake during the caravan park season as the cormorants are less likely to feed during the summer months, especially when more people are around so the refuges should not interfere with fishing.
