Baby Hedgehogs Rescued!

Baby Hedgehogs

Baby Hedgehogs Rescued

Many thanks to our customers, Mick & Mary Brookes two baby hedgehogs were rescued last night on the Park. They were found lost and alone so were bundled up in a box to be safe and kept warm. Dylan and Ewan Hoole who were visiting us this week christened them Sooty & Sweep! We took Sooty & Sweep to Elaine at Hedgehog Care, the local rescue centre this morning where they will be looked after until they have grown enough to be released back out into the countryside. Check out all the good work that Elaine does at http://www.hedgehogcare.org.uk

Newsflash! - The following day after posting this, we found another two baby hedgehogs in the same place so another trip was made up to Hedgehog Care at Louth where "James" and "Stinky" were reunited with their siblings!

Superb Fishing Match

Fishing 3

Absolutely cracking day for our fishing match and bbq yesterday! We had a total of 25 fishing who brought in a total catch of 225lbs 6oz which is the best catch yet. Our visiting newcomer Nigel Barnes didn't quite manage to topple our reigning champion Paul Bell (31lbs 9oz) but there were some sterling performances from Richard Bell (27lbs 10oz), Adrian Dye (25lbs) and Ian Garfitt (22lbs 14oz). Ann Wall was our ladies winner with 7lbs 11oz. Thank you to everyone for taking part - it was a great day! Our next match is the big season finale on Sunday 26th August 2012 - hope to see everyone there!  More photos of the match and bbq in our Photo Gallery.

And the hard work begins.....

Combine

The hard work begins as harvest has arrived at Bridge Farm.  Today was the first run out of the year for Mark and the combine.  Here is a shot of him combining some oil seed rape down Commonshares Lane on the other side of the A16.  Let's hope the sun keeps shining!
